Jola launches LPWAN SIM proposition to the channel

Worldwide, the Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN) market size is £713 million and is expected to reach £10.6 billion by the end of 2026. Channel partners are being presented with applications that need SIMs that use very little data and very little power. Often the battery in the device needs to last for ten years. LPWAN SIMs are ideal for this.

These SIMs are typically out in the field, sharing small amounts of data for many years. The use cases are diverse and growing but include gas and water meters, smoke detection sensors as well as IoT solutions such as smart bins. These deals are often for tens of thousands of units and end-users would rather go with a supplier they trust. A wholesale channel solution with a fully automated management portal has not been available until now.

Jola launches low-power wide-area network (LPWAN) SIMs available to order and manage via our white-label management portal Mobile Manager. Our cost-effective, low bandwidth SIMs are designed to penetrate buildings where required and can thrive in different environmental conditions with a lifespan of over 10 years.

Lee Broxson, Jola’s CSO, commented, ‘The Jola LPWAN proposition enhances our wide range of data SIMs for any device, anywhere. We have options for standard plastic or rugged plastic SIMs which will last for years. Demand from our partner base has been high for SIMs in sensors which detect smoke, heat and light and don’t use much data. These deals are often large, very sticky and on long-term contracts securing recurring revenue for partners for many years to come’.
