There are millions of PSTN lines that won’t be able to use a SoGEA or FTTP type replacement due to costs, incompatibility or logistical challenges. Mobile data will be a requirement for customers replacing PSTN lines for intruder alarm monitoring, call points and many other applications. Jola works with partners to uncover and win these opportunities.
There is a significant number of phone boxes in hospitals, supermarkets and hotels allowing you to book a taxi or receive information for free. Each one of these call points will need to be upgraded as they will no longer work after the PSTN Switch-off.
There are just over 3 million PSTN connected intruder alarms across the UK and an additional 1.2 million premises with monitored systems affected by the switchover.
“We create unique solutions for every user-type from our PSTN Replacement Toolkit. Jola partners are currently upgrading analogue call points in hospitals, hotels and hospitality venues, as well as replacing PSTN lines in alarm systems nationwide. We provide dual-SIM routers, multi-network SIMs, Analogue Telephone Adaptors (ATAs), SIP Overlay and cost-effective calls. The feedback from partners on the wide range of solutions available and ease of deployment and management has been really positive.” Lee Broxson, CSO, Jola.
